According to the official data of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, Lin Guoyao, male, born in January 1966, is 51 years old. He has worked in Fujian Province for a long time. He has served as the standing committee member and deputy mayor of Xiamen Municipal Committee of Fujian Province, the party secretary and director of Fujian Economic and Information Committee, the deputy secretary and mayor of Longyan Municipal Committee, and the secretary of Longyan Municipal Committee.

Lin Guoyao graduated from the Economics Department of Nanjing University in 1986, and then embarked on the road of politics in Xiamen.

Five months later, at the enlarged meeting of Longyan Municipal Committee on December 29th, Lin Guoyao was appointed as the secretary of CPC Longyan Municipal Committee and was no longer nominated as the mayor candidate of Longyan City.
