People in Pyongyang held a parade to celebrate the "Sun Festival"
Xinhua News Agency, Pyongyang, April 16 (Reporter Jiang Yaping) According to Korean Central News Agency’s report on the 16th, people in Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, held a parade in Kim Il Sung Square in the city center on the evening of 15th to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the birth of the late North Korean leader Kim Il Sung.
The report said that the parade was composed of the working class, the agricultural laborers and the young students. Kim Jong-un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, attended and watched the parade. Before the parade began, Kim Jong-un and other party and state leaders attended the Central Report Conference to celebrate the 110th anniversary of Kim Il Sung’s birth in Kim Il Sung Square.
According to Korean Central News Agency, on the 15th "Sun Festival", Kim Jong-un and his wife Li Xuezhu visited the Sun Palace in Jinxiu Mountain, Pyongyang.
The Sun Palace in Jinxiu Mountain is located in Dacheng District, the northeast suburb of Pyongyang, and houses the coffins of the late top leaders of North Korea, Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
"Sun Festival" is the birthday anniversary of Kim Il Sung and one of the most important festivals in the country.
